Thank you for a great summit!
The 12th Annual Tarrant Transportation Summit delivered on its promise to bring insights and vision for the future that would astound our estimated audience of 600 attendees on Thursday, Feb. 10, at the Hurst Conference Center.
The primary purpose of this year’s Summit was to discuss not just transportation but also the process of the economic development that follows the infrastructure of a new road or highway. Topics discussed throughout the day included technology in transportation, how Tarrant Country companies are leading the advancements in mobility and supply chain and the transformation of Texas’ transit systems and how significant investment brings better mobility options for Texans across the state. Discussions will also focus on our region’s near-and long-term mobility outlook, with a specific focus on projects that will likely get traction from recently passed federal infrastructure legislation.
Keynote speaker, Texas State Comptroller Glenn Hegar, offered an optimistic forecast for the State of Texas, saying that our economy is strong and that all signs promise growth in jobs, company expansion, and attracting new companies to Texas.
Lastly, the Summit presented its Lifetime Achievement of Excellence in Transportation Award to Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley.
Thank you to all of our attendees, panel participants and sponsors for a successful Summit.
